Sales, promotions and account
We usually use discount codes for special promotions. These actions can always be found on our site and we also send them via our newsletter. Examples are:
- A fixed discount amount on a particular item or brand.
- A discount percentage of the purchase amount.
- Adding a free article.
- Registration for a (win) action.
How to use a discount code?
It can be entered on the shopping cart page. First, put something in your cart. Then click on the shopping cart icon at the top right of the site and then on VIEW CART. The discount code can be entered under "discount code", under the button "CHECKOUT NOW". When entering it, always pay close attention to whether the discount code is entered correctly (with special characters), meets the conditions and the expiration date has not passed.
Conditions:
- You can only use 1 discount code per order, combining is not possible.
- A discount code can only be used once.
- If you cancel an order after using a discount code, the code is no longer valid.
- Toolnation reserves the right to cancel a discount code in case of unauthorized use.
Dirks Machines Beek
Toolnation.eu is the online shop, and part of Dirks trading company B.V. with a pickup location and showroom located in Beek at the Prins Mauritslaan 120-124 at Dirks Machines.
Note: This is not a visiting address for Toolnation customers, but only intended as pickup location!
Note: it is not possible to change your shipping method afterwards to pick up in Beek.
Own service, repair workshop
Toolnation has its own service and repair workshop where both repairs and warranty repairs are carried out in accordance with the manufacturers' conditions.

Did you forget the e-mail address you use to log in?
You can find your login information in the email that you received when creating your account. In this mail, you will also find the e-mail address you can use to log in. It is possible that this mail ended in your SPAM folder.
Still can't login? Are you sure you have created an account with us? If your email address and password are not known, and you do not receive an automatic email when you want to set a new password, it is likely that you have not created an account.

Businesses with a valid EU VAT number and a registered office outside the Netherlands can make purchases at Toolnation with a 0% VAT rate. This exemption applies under the intra-Community supply rules, as set out in Council Directive 2006/112/EC and incorporated into Dutch tax law.
Each transaction is verified through the VIES system (VAT Information Exchange System) of the European Commission. This ensures that the 0% VAT rate is only applied to VAT-registered businesses located in another EU country.
Conditions for applying the 0% VAT rate
- Your VAT number must be registered in an EU country other than the Netherlands.
- The goods must be physically shipped to an EU country other than the Netherlands.
- The billing address and shipping address must be in the same country where your business is registered.
Business purchases with a 0% VAT rate (with an account)
- Create a customer account at Toolnation.
- Enter your business details and VAT number.
- Click "Validate" to check your details in the VIES system.
- After successful verification, the 0% VAT rate will automatically apply to your purchases.
Business purchases with a 0% VAT rate (without an account)
- Add the desired products to your shopping cart.
- Click "Proceed to Checkout" or "View and Edit Cart."
- Enter your business details and EU VAT number under "Shipping Address".
- Click "Validate" to check your details in the VIES system.
- Choose your shipping and payment method.
- Once successfully validated, the 0% VAT rate will be immediately visible in the order summary.
Important points to check before purchasing
- No VAT refunds after purchase: Verify that your VAT number is correct and active before completing your order.
- VIES may be temporarily unavailable: If your VAT number is not verified immediately, try again later.
- Orders without an account: Guest orders cannot be linked to an account created later.
If your VAT number is not accepted, the following reasons may apply:
- Your VAT number was entered incorrectly – Ensure it follows the correct format for your country (e.g. FRXX999999999, BE0999999999, LU99999999).
- Your VAT number is inactive – It may have expired or has not yet been activated in the VIES system.
- Your business may not be registered as a VAT-liable entity in the EU – Not all companies are VAT-liable and, therefore, may not appear in VIES.
- Temporary VIES maintenance or system issues – The system may be temporarily unavailable. Try again later.
How to check the validity of your VAT number?
Before making a purchase, check whether your VAT number is valid and active by entering it into the VIES system. Your VAT number must match the business name and address registered with your tax authority.
What to do if your VAT number is not accepted?
- Check your VAT number in VIES and with your national tax authority.
- Ensure your VAT registration is accurate and up to date with your tax authority.
- Contact your national tax authority if your VAT number appears incorrect or inactive.
- Reach out to our customer service for further assistance.
- Review the official VIES FAQ on the European Commission’s website.
Key information about VAT verification
- Paid VAT cannot be refunded after purchase. Make sure your VAT number is correct and active before completing your transaction.
- VIES is not a central database. The system forwards your request to the national tax authority for verification.
- Some countries require additional registration for intra-Community transactions. A VAT number may be valid locally but not appear in VIES.
